Aion Chanter Guides

Category : Game News

The Chanter is the buffing class in Aion World. Their aim goals in groups include buffing and attacking, but  they  also have ability to do healing when it is necessary. This can place them in a group as an “off-healer.” Their heals are not as strong as the Clerics, but they are better than nothing to a group who has no healer!

The Chanter class is seen as one of the best soloing classes. They deal a great deal of damage (mostly due to their buffs) and have the ability to heal themselves. Not only this, but also they can use Chain armor, which is just below Plate. Their issue, however, comes when their heals are constantly canceled by mobs or other players.
1.Their positives are :

  • Great buffs (Run speed, defense, attack power, etc.)
  • Decent heals (Not as strong as Clerics but still helpful)
  • Chain armor mastery
  • Many attack skills, although mostly melee

2.Their negatives are as follows:

  • Heals can be canceled
  • Although they are able to heal, low defense puts them in a delicate situation

In play the Chanter will rarely be using their smiting abilities. Their melee attacks are much more efficient than spells, being that they will not fail. Along with his, melee abilities are used much quicker, dealing much more damage in a shorter period of time.

The biggest difference between group play and solo will come when there is not another healer present. The Chanter, when with a group who is very organized, can play the role of both buffer and healer, even without a Cleric nearby. The issue comes when there is a lot of damage being taken by players in the group because Chanters’ heals are not too strong.
Their weapon of choice is their staff, doing both normal melee hits and melee skills. During this period, there are skills that will decrease enemy attack speed, stun enemies, etc., which helps regardless as to if they are playing alone or with others.
Conclusion : The Chanter is like a hybrid healer and DPS class. Their buffs work on their entire group, enhancing everyone’s abilities. At the same time, they are able to heal themselves and allies, giving them a back-up healing position in groups. When playing solo, their survivability is very high as long as they are not pulling more than one mob at a time. If they pull more, their survival rate will start going down tremendously.
