Funcom has silently launched a little teaser website for one of The Secret World’s locales, the sleepy town of Kingsmouth.

Here is the introduction of KIngsmouth below:
Kingsmouth is a beautiful seaside small town in the northeast of Maine. You will find peace in rural surroundings and still find yourself in a friendly town that’s filled with excitement, opportunity and activity. The 2000 census noted 1,547 citizens, a very stable number since the population tally before that. WoW Gold are avalible in wowgold7th’s store. We are proud to remain a typical New England small town.Kingsmouth is rich with history, going back to the 1600’s, but there are traces of people on the island long before that. The Native Americans called the area “Drumming Hills” and several Indian trails swung by the island. Surprisingly enough, there are even signs of Vikings having visited our shores!
Kingsmouth was founded under its current name in 1667 by Solomon Priest, an English pilgrim. The population quickly rose to over a thousand people, a number that hasn’t changed much since! We are a Town built on tradition, a strong community and a great will to come together.
An example of the spirit is how the citizens pulled together when a fire devastated the town in 1712. Almost all the homesteads and several of the principal buildings were lost, among them the church and the town hall. The townspeople rebuilt everything with the financial aid of the prosperous businessmen and organizations with interests in Kingsmouth.
The Town of Kingsmouth is governed by the traditional New England town meeting. Aion Gold.An elected town council provides overall direction for administration by the town manager. An active planning board plays a key role in dealing with community issues. We take an assertive stance in balancing the quality of life and economic growth. As a vibrant and independent town, we provide most services to our citizens ourselves.
Here is the Activities in Kingsmouth and on Solomon Island Below:

1. Follow Solomon Road around the circumference of the island and enjoy the varied scenery – from the beaches of Kingsmouth, to the lighthouse, the cliffs, Innsmouth Academy and the rocky western shores.Aion Kinah.
2. Visit the impressive Kingsmouth lighthouse and climb to the top (by appointment only) for the best view north of the Empire State Building!
3. Stop by the Wabanaki camp and browse their wonderful Native American Arts & Crafts store
4. Take a scenic flight from the Kingsmouth Municipal Airport – only $49 if you mention this site!
5. Eat the best clam chowder in Maine at the Lobster Trap seafood restaurant – reservations recommended Contunue Reading

Everquest II’s latest update is ‘Will of a Tyrant’,which was primarily a bug stomping update, with over 600 bugs exterminated. It is good news for fans who have been demanding this for years.
What many of us are relishing is the new quest series, ‘Attack on the Crowns’, which leads the new expansion, ‘Sentinel’s Fate’.'Sentinel’s Fate’, launches in February. This is EQ2’s sixth expansion. With it comes a level cap increase of 10, bringing us to 90; two new overland zones, which may not sound like much,
but EQ2 zones tend to be massive; a new major city; a starting zone which we are promised will be the best new player experience to date; and 12 dungeons. There will also be the many new quests, mobs, items and so on for us to undertake, slay and gather up.
The Prelude event leading up to this expansion centers the royal houses of Freeport and Qeynos. In Freeport Deathknell Citadel has been destroyed. This floating citadel was the home of the tyrannical Overlord, Lucan D’Lere,WoW Gold, but now D’lere has vanished and Deathknell floats no more, it has crashed to the ground.
The destruction of the citadel leads to a quest to find the Overlord. Freeport is in chaos, some believe that he is dead and are rioting and looting, vile Dark Elven Thexians have taken control of parts of the city. Sir Tallen Yevix believes the disappearance is a test and tasks us with finding some missing pieces of a mechanical device used by the Overlord to communicate with his knights. With this repaired she can set the signal to find D’Lere and save the day.Nothing is ever that easy however. Once the parts are found, the contraption still doesn’t work so off we go, sneaking into Qeynos, the city of our enemies, wowgold are avalible in wowgold7th’s store.to capture the gnome, Algan Tinmizer, to fix the blasted thing. One kidnapping and a bit of tinkering later and success! The image of the D’Lere appears and the plot thickens. It turns out that one of his most trusted agents, Tayil N’Velex, has betrayed him. A portal was opened in the Overlord’s quarters and a force of void soldiers poured through it. Contunue Reading

At the end of the day, trolling up roleplay using in-game speech and emotes will net you at least a few new contacts to get started. You should be consistent and regular with these techniques. If at first someone is uncertain that you are actually trying to find roleplay, they’ll quickly be convinced after seeing you perform emotes several times.
Good luck out there. Me, and my character Dudeguy, wish you the very best of luck.

Okay, so by starting off with “trolling” in the title, you’re probably expecting some kind of subtle guide to how to troll the official forums, or maybe how to avoid some of the worst drama. But when I use the term trolling, I’m speaking to the base root meaning: how to inspire a reaction. In our case, how do you inspire a roleplay reaction from the people around you? Contunue Reading

When team Canada’s Olympic roster for the men’s hockey team was announced, I was extremely excited to check out who had made the cut and who didn’t. For the most part, I agreed with all the choices. I’ll admit a few of the selections had me wondering why. I had to ask myself why a player like Brenden Morrow (captain of the Dallas Stars) was selected over other players. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that it wasn’t always about the goals or the points. There were people that brought in certain intangible qualities that just could not be measured.

I started thinking about raiders and my guildies for a moment. Who was valuable and what did they contribute? Sure they didn’t exactly bring dominating numbers into the game, but they were able to hold their own in a race. Contunue Reading

We make a list of the Top Ten Most Anticipated MMOs of 2010 we’re excited for. You might see some games on here that might not actually release in 2010, but we’re going to be including them here for fitting our criteria. For our list, our criteria are that the game must either release this year or go into beta, which we feel accounts for all the games on our list.
1. Star Wars: The Old Republic
It was wished for and was rumored for a long time, but Bioware is officially entering into the MMO market with Star Wars: The Old Republic. The game’s take on the MMO format, but with Star Wars enhanced tweaks, is great, but what’s really impressed me so far is their focus on story. Instead of being a panel of text meant to help you gain experience and a level, The Old Republic is instead focusing on an actual story where you make important decisions that affect what happens.
Leveling alts is always a chore, but with an increased focus on story and the paths a character takes, taking those alts through the game might just be easier with Bioware at the helm. The game won’t be out till 2011 at best, but beta should be starting in 2010, so it only seems natural to include the game on the list.
2. Allods Online
Beyond one other exception, you’ll find that this article is lacking in the area of free-to-play MMOs. While there are a number coming out this year, it’s somewhat of a “been there done that” for many of them. There are some good ones out there, but when weighed against the merits of subscription-based games, they generally pale in comparison. Not so, however, when it comes to Allods Online. Fans of World of Warcraft will find the world and gameplay instantly familiar, but by no means does that mean this game is a clone. I hate it when people say that about any game. Contunue Reading

Each week, Arcane Brilliance invites Mages everywhere over for brunch. We serve muffins, sweet rolls, croissants, and enough mountain spring water to wash it all down. Then, for dessert, Arcane Brilliance conjures strudel for everyone, because who doesn’t like strudel? If you raised your hand, you, sir or madame, are a dirty, dirty liar. Everybody likes strudel.
About a billion years ago, when Warlocks still ruled the world, back in those dark days before Arcane Barrage, spellpower, and elementalist specs–in that bygone era before Death Knights appeared in Azeroth, bringing with them their ridiculous magic resistances and eighty-seven different ways to silence or interrupt–Arcane Brilliance brought you a series of Mage leveling guides. In those days, we didn’t have any of this crazy “rock music” you kids listen to now, and when we fought Illidan, we had to chain pot. We walked naked twelve miles to school through nineteen feet of snow while fending off wolves and dinosaurs with our bookbags, and we liked it.

Things are different now. Nowadays, when you hit level 70, your experience bar doesn’t vanish, never to return. We have ten new levels and an entire new continent to adventure our way through, new talent points to spend, new gear to pick up, and several fresh and exciting ways to barbecue zombies. It’s an exciting time to be a Mage, and Arcane Brilliance is here to open a portal to level 80 for you. Contunue Reading
